Biography - Margot
With a love of the arts culture in Perth I started my career in marketing and events management before moving into a more strategic role coordinating business-arts partnerships. Having had a taste of the corporate world through the partnerships I decided I wanted to expand my experience and move into the community engagement and corporate responsibility space, having been inspired by many of Perth's great arts and business leaders.
Taking the leap into the corporate world, I relished the opportunity to engage with a broad range of stakeholders on a variety of different projects. In the new role of Sustainability Assessment and Community Engagement, I quickly learned the value of sustainability principles and am applying them to the ambitious Eastern Corridor project suite. I believe that there is a great opportunity for Western Power to become a leader in sustainable infrastructure within the energy sector.
When I'm not preaching the value of sustainability, I enjoy an active social life filled with family and friends. My favourite activities include seeing live music, checking out new restaurants and bars, planning house renovations and expanding the garden.
